A few years back I believe The word on the street was that the Ramair was the best intake system over the three filters because it had a place for the air intake temperature sensor to go. My question is has anything better been found I am ready to put one on my bike and just curious of what the best is out there today?
Thanks in advance, Ridefree

This is not going to b the normal
anticipating the change and expecting the arrival of some k&n filters i slipped the same size plastic pipe 10 inches long over th sensor and drilled two holes near the sensor and put the end of pipe open air near the horn to pull the cool air thru the tube.
i ran last Saturday and worked great.

That’s interesting I’ll consider that

I used a small k&n for the sensor & it just sits inbetween 1 & 2. Didn't need to extend the wires. 🚀

The ait sensor comes off main wiring harness, the map sensor is on the aux harness with fuel injectors tps sensors, idle stepper and oil sensor, the ait sensor reaching to pods with no extension is interestin, they have same plug. anyway interesting

I believe the ram air set up comes with a wiring harness extension for the AIT sensor and the sensor actually plugs into a hole in the short duct between the filter and the throttle bodies. And whole thing fits under the bear claw. It eliminates all of the ducting under the tank and the factory airbox, also comes with a crank case breather. Is anyone out there still using the system? Or is it a thing of the past and something better has come out?

I might have picked up one of the last RamAir filter kits, ordered direct from England. Installation was straight forward. By removing the bulky OEM ducts it allows more cooling air movement around the engine.
The RA foam filters were getting crushed by the Bearclaw, cutting off good air circulation. But a little claw surgery cured that problem.
It was suggested the coolant overflow tank blocked the air flow to the RamAir filters, so a remote stainless overflow tank was installed.

My R3 WartHog is a three wheel RV with its sidecamper set up, ready for long distance multi-night trips.
