About to go Dark Side for first time

It doesn't roll. I have not heard of a single incident where a pilot went down because of a darkside tire. They are solid to be safe on the road. I don't have abs and rear locks up very easy. Darkside tires give better breaking traction for when cages pull out in front of you.

Darkside has helped me in both longitudinal AND lateral circumstances.

Do a search for the Darkside .some like the Darkside some will say the world will fall apart if you use them.Myself I have no problem with going darkside it just takes a little extra effort until you get used to the Ct.

I road a Rocket with dark side recently. The guy I know had just purchased the bike a few days before coming over to get a TuneECU download I have. We went out on a long test ride to see how the new tune was working. Me on his bike and him on mine. The new tune worked really well. He is very happy with it. However, I hated the handling of his dark side bike. He loved the handling of mine with Avon Cobra tires. 2 days later he installed a set of Avon Cobras. He loves them too.

The moral to the story is don't be cheap and ruin your riding experience. Spend the money for a good motorcycle tire.

Well said, Bill.
However, the money saved using a CT is NOT a minor issue!
There are two questions:
1) Is all the money saved worth the tire pressure, shape and size fussing along with the handling quirks?
2) Is peak performance and handling your priority?
If the first rings your bell - go for it!

Spot on red rocket . And you can drag the pegs !
