A "New to Me" Corbin Seat

Thanks mate...I love my roadster, but if I can't get it comfy its out the door and my only ***** is the seat!!

Talked to Corbin about the Roadster and all they were willing to tell me sounded like their seats were sized for the Classic setup with the lower seat vs the taller Roadster. I prefer the Roadster setup - so i guess that meant no corbin for me - that said, I plan to go straight to Russell Day Long. Selling my Classic dual tour and roadster gel on here then on to a new Russell.

Fit isn't the issue - is it the same height as the Roadster or is it 1 1/2" lower like the classic? From what they told me - it's the classic height.

It may be a little closer, but it also feels a bit wider.

So for me the "foot on the road meter" seems the same; I usually have the front 1/3 of both feet on the pavement when stopped, but I can put both down flat footed whenever I want to (as I could with the stock seat).

Sorry I can't give you a more definitive answer.

I saw the seat on a bike review I read and really like the look, If you or someone else would post how the passenger likes the dual tour it would help me out.tks

Just received an email from Mustang seats and they won't be building seats for the Rocket. I think I will be going with a Russell Day long. In the meantime I just installed a conformax pad, 1/2" gel with 1/2" memory foam attached to it. Interesting combination. The memory foam is not soft as you would imagine. Quite hard actually. I tested it out prior to the install. Sat on the pad on a hard surface. I very slowly settled into the memory foam as it formed to my but. Quite comfortable.
$75 bucks, cheap alternative till I can afford the Russell.

My wife likes the passenger (rear) seat on the Corbin more than the original R3R pillion.

I did Brisbane-Sydney on my stock 2005 seat in 11 hours, 1000km, 600 miles roughly , and didn't get sore at all, ( at 120kgs...) so its comfy enough, but I could do with it being lower or slightly less wide.....there's some parts on ebay including a Aus made seat atm I might look at ...other wise I'd consider a Corbin, but I don't like the 12-16 week wait from the local(ish) supplier....

it is a long wait they quoted me 12 weeks but it turned up at my door after just 11 and it was well worth the wait
