A new rattle

There have been so many reports of various rattles in the older rockets and I have just encountered a new one....the catbox rattle. Something has come loose inside that contraption and is rattling around so bad that it has blown a hole in it.

I guess its finally time to get rid of it, no way I am going to replace it. I may the first Rocket captain to actually wear out the cat coverter.

The problem is you still have the cat box on your bike.

in cars the ceramic comes loose and after a while the pieces plug the cat or muffler causing lack of power. i guess it could plug where it comes out of the cat box to muffs.
time for a bypass.

Yeah, I have been meaning to get rid of it for years now but didn't want to fork out the dough for an aftermarket exhaust. But now I have no choice. Kind of a nice to problem to have though....

I removed my cat box back in June 2005 and it has been sitting on a shelve ever since.

Yeah, I have been meaning to get rid of it for years now but didn't want to fork out the dough for an aftermarket exhaust. But now I have no choice. Kind of a nice to problem to have though....

Get the bypass from Paul Bryant and you won't have to change anything else. It will fit right in. Off course, it's also a pretty easy leap to just get all the goodies at one time too!

No, keep it on the shelf, that is where it belongs.

Yes one should keep the cat box on the shelf should your state decide one day to smog test bikes. I am glad mine does not.
