3 filter mod.

That was a nice video. I've removed and put back the stock plenum twice to try out the triple filters. The biggest PITA are the 5 clamps. Once I managed to twist one nearly 360 degrees but I got it off. I never had any luck with tunes other people created for this setup, including one made by Wayne MacDonald from Tuneboy. The bike never ran great, so I went back to stock. So, the Ramair looks a lot nicer than the individual triple filters, so long as it does the filtering as efficiently. However, since this setup unrestricts the intake flow, the stock tune will not cut it. This means installing a Power Commander to get the fuel right or rely on someone else who tuned the fuel correctly for your exhaust setup with the Ramair. By the way, do you clean the filter or replace it?

I just did this mod for the 3rd time. The hardest bit is the two clamps holding the two plenum pieces together. This is 3 mm. I have fairly long (about 8") T allen wrenches which make loosening these much easier. There's also a clamp at the bottom of the round tube where it connects to the air box. A long allen is needed for this too and on my bike, access was from the left side triangular cover.
