For Sale 2780s with black rain covers

Hey Tony,
Do you know if affixing that O2 Sensor into the top of a filter has any affect on the dyno?
Just wondering as I just cleaned my little O2 filter and it was filthy.
I don't know if I'd want all that grime going into my combustion chamber.

That should be the Intake Air Temperature sensor. It will have an effect on the amount of fuel your ECM gives, when it's hotter it will reduce fuel slightly, when its cold it will enrich fuel slightly. I plan on putting a filter on mine and stuffing it hidden away somewhere, with the ozrider claw covering the K&Ns, the IAT will be very close to ambient at all times.

I thank you - my error on the incorrect description. What you describe is exactly what I have done, except with the K&Ns.
I understand what you say, but it doesn't answer my question. Why is an air filter then used on this Intake Air Temperature sensor and where does the grime come from?

The grime is probably just road grime, it is amazing how quickly it can build up! It wont get in the engine as long as you use an air filter over the TBs, and the filter on the IAT sensor is really just to protect the sensor itself from buildup/damage and to keep it accurate.

most riders put the temp probe INSIDE one of the filters
