205 or 225, & DS Question

Phil you should try everything at least once.... I went with the Yokohama AVS ES100 245/50ZR16 about 8 years ago,the traction was superb. Cornering aggressively required a lot more counter steering than i really wanted and was used to but you learn after a day riding on it. My biggest hassle back then was finding someone willing to put it on my bike.

I have had nearly 30,000 miles of experience on the darkside, Rick, about 7K of which was on the R3. Granted that the Toyo Proxes T1R was found, via trial and error, to be a non-optimal car tire for our bikes, my critiques above hold water just the same.

I have come to the conclusion that if most of a rider's mileage is done on flat and level roads or if one is towing a trailer or if a rider isn't as critically focused on optimal performance, handling and even certain safety issues as myself and others are, then car tires are a viable choice for such subsets of riders, notwithstanding the objective considerations of folks like me on this particular topic.

Still can't help but wonder why the few remaining anti DSers are so negative. Page after page of beating the same dog.
