I went through the Auction list from that sale, there was a 1942 Harley WLA Three wheeler. Army spec with V tread balloon tyres on disc wheels on the back. It was fitted with a buck with a bench seat.
This is coming to the U.K., it was brought by The Wheatcroft Collection. If anyone doesn’t know who it is, Tom Wheatcroft owns Donnington Race track and after the British Tank Museum owns the biggest collection of WW2 German Armour and vehicles. He also owns and is restoring the only surviving WW2 German E-Boat (S-Boot in German).

There was a 1942 WLA S226.1 but wasn't a three wheeler that sold for $55,000 but the 1941 Harley Davidson TA Knucklehead fis your description S172.1 which sold for $82,500.
