2020 Rocket 3 TFC details released!

Having done enough looking for "specials" in my time, I don't believe what anyone has until a real person has it parked on their driveway and is willing to show the registration and the sales invoice.

....seroiusly, remember the roadster was what?...148hp stock?
This is 170 or close...and 40kg lighter...and 6 speed...with all the cornering ABS...traction control etc...we havnt even seen or heard what the production bike or bikes may have yet...
I'm saying dont judge too soon basing it on price. If you want to compare it to the current bike then compare it to a stock bike.
I would not want traction control on a Rocket. Am I alone in this desire?

Your right, just because they blew it out of proportion (not just the price) is no reason for me to tread on their day. Even though they are chasing people away by overpricing their cubic inches. I shall not give up my beast until I've run out of parts. But man I'm wanting a new bike and because of them I'm thinking Japanese and boost :D I shall delete the offending post .

I'm wondering if that engine just can't breathe in its current design. Maybe that's limiting the gains

...not sure...might help during cornering......what do you think"
I believe the right hand is the key to nearly all safe biking. If I know that I have 166 ft/lbs on tap, and especially if it is wet I had better respect the power and road conditions. If I spin out its on me. I do not apply much throttle in a corner till nearly straight up. It's easy on then hammer to the mo fo.

I rarely ride in the rain, especially with the Rocket , but when I do I treat the road like it is ice. Easy and slow like a sloth on all points.

Now lets say I want to do a burn out or wheelie or some other aggressive thing? You can argue that I should not but it will be my decision. Just like if I want all the power then I should get it. I don't like nannies. I will concede that ABS is a good nanny but in general I prefer to have all the tools of the bike at my discretion.

If you want traction control with out an ECU interference then don't twist the right hand so much.;)

..i am much the same with my riding style...get the power on when i feel its a good time/place rather than power around a corner hoping...i like to look well ahead and scan alot...i think switchable traction control could be handy all the same.

Switchable I could go for. It is all about person choice and control.

I think this new TFC is worlds better looking than the older models and I actually love it but i do not think it is a good fit for me right now. Darnit if i wanted it bad enough that price tag would not scare me off. Heck I'm married I'm used to expensive toys.:roll::roll::roll:

I'm into the luxury watch game right now and all my play money is going in that direction.
