2020 Rocket 3 TFC details released!

I work close to the factory we have seen a mule running around the roads nearby, personally it seems smaller than the old model - if you notice the people in press pics are always short wimps so makes any bike look big, just remember the bobber pics, now that's a baby bike in real life. I think anyone who pays £25,000 is going to be disappointed !!!!!! Dealers in the UK been taking deposits for a while now on the back of the hype, but friends in the know reckon there will be a standard version launch early 2020 under £20,000,,, This ones been spotted more recently and pics in the press.

just in case u don't remember when the toyota just hit the gas by itself and caused a few wrecks and blamed it on the carpet. yea right:(
was sitting in a dodge truck at a stop sign when it decided to haul a$$:eek: was able to jam on brakes and if i had not left myself a lot of roam i would have been into the traffic. what a pucker moment:mad:

now we all know this is not going to happen but what if u r passing and the ecu decides u need to slow down?
no problem in the curves it will just hit the brakes and cut the throttle:confused:

now i can picture when things happen it should be real fun trying to fix it.

don't mind me i am just in a real bummer mode.

oh i would ride beside u just not in front or behind you:laugh::laugh:

Well i think triumph have played this well not only have they brought the biggest production bike back even bigger and kept the title(and cool looks:inlove)
they have give it todays technology (kept with in the rules:rolleyes:) and styling.When the first rocket was released in 2004 with it's impressive figures(and good looks:inlove) who would have thought 15 years later that there could be a force fed 450 bhp monster 6 speed and a possible tune to go with it.As shown by certain members on this site the saying were there's a will there's a way imagine what could be produced with a more even advanced version(and they will find a way they all ways do:sneaky:).Bikes cars etc have only got faster and safer with technology so IMHO i think that triumph will keep things like this forum and the rocket 3 alive in the future.So who knows what figures we might see in another 15 years ( if where still here:whitstling:)There is one thing that they messed up on though the price cos i can't afford one unless i sell the house:banghead::banghead::banghead:but that ain't been ruled out yet:sneaky::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
 
I spoke to the dealer today and they said it had different ride modes where you could select which nannies were on or off. The bike looks very interesting with quite a bit of high tech features. The front suspension looks very nice.
 
Looks to me like the TFC is styled for a younger demographic and given most of you blokes are around the same age as dirt it comes as no surprise that popular opinion here is mildly negative.

We are the present for Triumph not the future. I am very interested to see what marketing is about to follow the bikes release - that will tell us where triumph are heading with future R3 production
 
Hel$ with it. Might be fashionably and sleek but personally i think it is cra*. Reality is no one really knows the given horse power or torque of the new Rocket. In the past you knew what you were buying and now truimph is playing games with the specs. Makes me wonder what is real and what is not. Sell it to the sweet hearts out there. I figure it is all good but am out. Got my deposit back today.
 
Went into our dealers this morning(Saturday here) and had a look around at a few bikes to see where they sit price wise...just so i could maybe work out where the production bike may be priced against its competitors if you like.
Moto Guzzi MGX $NZ37,000...The top of the line Indian is $NZ54,000...The top of the line Triumph 1200 Tiger is $NZ34,000.....Aprillia $NZ30,000...Top of the line cvo Harley is $NZ60,000....
 
Well I'm getting one....
Two things I'm not terribly impressed with is the FBW (i guess for the cruise control) and WHY WHY WHY keep the same rear size tyre when there are more tyre choices using a larger diameter wheel.
