What you probably don't know either is that, one of the reasons for the marijuana prohibition in the USA was to induce the retreat of the Mexican population in the south. Perhaps that's where the song comes from. I'm surprised that the song has not been banned as being bigoted and racist!

I may swing over there one of the days to ride a few twisties with you. Just not committing to the whole 4-5 days
 
I'm in; I might have to leave home Thursday night and will get there very late. For me it's at least a 5 hour drive. I'll be taking my truck and my wife. I tried the twisted sisters this past weekend. Stopped by the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop and had the burger I just attached. It was really good. So definitely, I'm not missing this trip. I would have to leave Sunday morning though

I'll have to look at the reservations and see what happens.

So that worked well then!. Last time I was in the US - it was Maine - pretty much all the hotel staff were Mexican.
 
I'm still planning on coming if the house is sold and we're done moving, hard to be sure, but it looks likely
