Man I am so sorry to hear that. I hope they can get you two back on the road same day so you can at least go to the caverns.

Well, we just heard from the dealership.

The fuel pump is going out on Theresa's Ryker. Normally, not too terrible of an item to fix...

Backordered until March 18 2020

What the fvck BRP!

Now, the dealership is trying to "convince" BRP to ship the Ryker back to our house and cover our expenses so far.

Why not just pull the fuel pump out of a brand new unit somewhere or ya know, swap the whole fvucking bike out for a new one since this is the second time we have had to put it on a flatbed due to defect. The first time it was in the shop 2 months.

So, we bought it mid Feb 2019. This being mid Oct 2019, we've owned it 8 months. 2 of those being in the shop.
Now, if it takes until March 2020 that'll be 13 months with a total down time of 7 months... just over 50% of the time.

And yes, I am just ranting, we apparently have one of the very few with multiple issues and they are selling like hotcakes. But it is just frustrating.

We have checked it out.

Texas Lemon relief requires 4 services for the same malfunction if it just affects operation/use in the first 2 years.
We may get away with safety. It requires 2 safety issues in 2 years. The front wheel/brakes locking up while moving IMHO is most definitely a safety issue. As is riding down an 80MPH interstate highway and the engine dying.

We'll see what BRP comes up with and decide whether to go the lemon law route or not.

Brakes are definitely a safety issue. I just had a recall done on a Hyundai because of an oil seal that could fail, causing the engine to cut out. They said it was a safety factor and could be dangerous if it happened. If you need a copy of the recall notice as a backup for your claim then let me know.
