I'll probably ride down to Leeton, pick up my brother and ride up through Hillston to Cobar and across.
In the meantime my sidecar just broke again.....so I glued it back together with a mate's help and tomorrow I'll ride it up to a mate's place behind the gold coast and we'll build a new chassis. I'm over it!

Wow surprised they did not have decent gusseted area around that mounting pint

D@mn lucky it was just the shock mount.
On my old Suzuki GS1000 outfit both the bottom threaded rods connecting bike to chassis snapped at 100kmh entering the curved overpass on Trower Rd in Darwin. It went straight into the wall at the bottom and kept banging against the wall all the way to the top. The massive leading link at the front saved me from flipping over as it kept levering the back down as it rode up the wall. Wildest ride of my life so far and only got a 1" scratch on my thumb where the bikini fairing screen flexed and cracked. Luckily the leading link down struts from the triple tree were 1.5" solid steel bar. The 15" laced Volkswagon rim was mangled like a pretzel.

Happened at 100kmh as well. I got a bit of a surprise when the dog jumped on my lap!
@HansO ....I was bloody surprised as wlel, I can tell you. So much for paying a " professional".

Sounds good, if Richard and Theresa will have us pair over again? at least Theresa will have some female company with Ann being there as well, it only works out to be 1 hour 5 min longer from here than for you
Always welcome ..... this may throw a spanner in the accommodation works though.. Terese just said .... "I might come too". Being a woman .... I'm not asking for a definite from her but my mind kept to "what sh!it do I have to add to the situation .... it may be sorry fellas .... but the lady likes her privacy and what the lady wants ... she can have.

Does that mean you stay in the Beehive with the boys and Terese becomes my neighbour in her own Double Deluxe Cabin too? ;):D

No it's shorter than that .... quicker to go Dunedoo to Dubbo direct. Probably 100 k shorter. Bloody Google maps.

Nah - Must be the double back - 10 min and 14 km less via Gilgandra (Burrendong Way)

5 h 14 min (457 km)
via Burrendong Way
5 h 14 min without traffic

;):D

MMMM.... got another couple coming along ..... A couple I work with. Unfortunately non Triumph but an Indian Scout and have been trying to encourage her to do a bit of distance to gain bike confidence on her 650 Kawathingy ****** rocket. I've booked another family cabin.
Seeing that I will have Terri on the back, I might give Dunedoo - Gil way a miss and go straight up the flat tar.
Some of the country up the Gilgandra to Nyngan way is beautiful though, good road, some places where you have to be quick to catch the direction sign, OH I forgot about sat nav. I like to ride it and think of the Scots, Irish and English who walked out there with a Bullock dray .... Not to forget the Boers, my mob, In the heat and dry. The remnants of old farmsteads are evident everywhere. bloody hard people. It's out on that country that they rode in to Gilgandra to start the COOWEE March. Lots of families on farms without men after the first world war. Women from that part of the world make the best mates ..... I have decided.

I can handle short days in the saddle too!

Can always go Gilgandra and/or Dunedoo on the way home.
