20145 .hex tune

I wished I knew computers, the arcane language is just one of the frustration I deal with when connected.
my problem...I definitively need help..



tell me why after following EXACTLY the protocol to change tune with tunecu 1.7.8c from 20222 to 20145 I cannot see the new map on the ecu.
I open map selection open 20145 it shows on the bottom of the tunecu page I click download(actually it should read upload)
I see the green bar moving from left to right presumably uploading this 20145 .hex but when I select map reading to look at the new map it still shows me the 20222 on the left pane of the tunecu screen did I load the 20145 or is this 20222 still on the bike ecu I disconnected and reconnected still showing 20222 do I take a hammer or waft a cold one for today.

Sorry, never downloaded anything with TuneECU. If you load 20145 into TuneECU and you see it on the screen, and you hit download, and the bar moves, I can't see why this wouldn't be the tune downloaded to the ECU. Maybe try installing the latest version (1.82).

well I asked myself the same question I doubt it is tuneecu but i will get the latest

Don't know how TuneECU works but Tuneboy gives the number for the base map, which is 20222, even when the tune is modified. I don't remember where 20145 came from.

Not to be judgemental or anything but the download is correct. The nomenclature comes form the unit performing the action....so in this case you are downloading from the laptop to the ECU. Uploading would be reading the ECU and displaying in the Tune ECU program (uploading to the laptop). I do alot of uploading and downloading to programmable controllers for process control and this always gets me. Took a while to understand what was meant by upload and download.....oh I just realized this does not help you in anyway solve your problem.....ill go away now......

yeah ad more misery to my personal hell!!!! .
I thought download meant receiving to your laptop and upload sending from your laptop and when I get the definite answer from computer gurus I will still need help,, I 'll have a cold one now .grrrrrr...
