There is one 2014 R3T in Omaha but not the one above.

Its VIN is SMTCO5LR2DJ544375 and higher price 2013 Triumph Rocker III, Touring

Does that mean you found our target bike's VIN as '8675e09' so was the whole thing listed or not.
The model year code is 10th character for USA VINs so 'D' is correct for 2013 and 'E' for 2014 as 10th character in VIN. Therefor the 1st characters of the 2014 R3T's VIN MUST be SMTCO5LR2E then a derived check character calculated from previous 10 characters defines the 11th character in USA and Canadian VIN numbers.

Aah found it, not listed as Rocket. That VIN does look dodgy hope he has an explanation.

The VIN on Craigslist comes from a phone # in a song. Its phoney. 8675309 was Jenny's phone number. Good song though.
