500 US DOLLARS FOR A WINDSHIELD AT THE DEALER THEN 89.00 USD FOR MOUTING BRACKETS SO 600 USD FOR THIS THING.YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. IT'S PLEXY GLASS AND A FEW BRACKETS! IT WOULD SEEM AMAZON EBAY AND OTHERS HAVE NONE FOR SELL AT ANY PRICE. JUST WANT A LITTLE SOMETHING OUT FRONT TO BREAK THE WIND IS ALL.

Wasn't there a parts number on here floating around for the company that makes the Triumph OEM stuff where you could but a non-branded Triumph brackets and then one of their windshields????

I hear you Giant Jumbo, I just paid $549.99 for the 18 inch screen plus $99.99 for the front end fixing kit for a total of $ 649.98 Canadian or roughly $631 USD. Mind you it looks great and my neck is a lot warmer now in this fall weather. :D

I own a 2005 R3 and you get about 2 inches or so of higher or lower adjustment with the triumph 18 inch screen. In the picture the screen is in the highest position.

I hope it's the 18 inch screen :whitstling: ..... I think that's what the parts person said it was on the phone.

Yea LOL I swear its a lot of money for the thing. I am still looking for something cheaper but not finding anything that I like. Living down farther south I get a few more days of warmth, but as I'm sure you know the wind can do a number on a person. I must say 49 North that it looks real nice on your bike. Good pic. Thanks for sharing.

Let us know how it rides for you. How tall are you? Can you see over the shield a little bit without a lot of wind?

Rides great and I'm 5ft 7in. The top of the screen is just a bit below my eyes but the wind slip stream passes over with no noticeable wind to the face or helmet.

I'd have preferred a detachable windshield (Triumph doesn't have one for the 2005 apparently) but once installed you can see it's only 4 bolts and it's off. Quality build with chrome straps and rubber to hold it all together. Worth the pain $$ IMHO.

I've ended up a spare 'fixing kit' sold a Summer Screen to an Owner that already had a fixing kit himself .. PM me if you want them .
