I am surprised a couple of the darkside nay-sayers haven't called you a liar by now! I, however, totally agree. My passenger vehicle tire has saved my butt more than a few times.

that makes three of us. I also had to learn to use my front brakes on this bike more, now I never use the backs except for hard stops

what do you call an emergency stop ?? if I imagine a sudden application of brakes the standard of braking still apply 90 % front 10 % rear otherwise you get in a mess of various states...

Have any skid testing that prove a car tire on a motor will out stop a motorcycle tire?
If so, I sure would like to see it. To my knowledge this has not been done. Seat of the pants and biased opinions just do not cut it.
My 2 cents,

So you would take the word of Motorcyclist Magazine staff rider or cruiser magazing simply because it is in print? Many of us have logged more miles than any of those guys. What other types of experienced people do you call out? Heart surgeons? Police officers? Mechanical Engineers?

I have never had that happen even at 80mph while trying to miss a deer
My experience for comparison was having two running R3's. One darkside and the other with the factory issued Metz. I would get into trouble because I would try to operate the bike with Metz like the one with the passenger car tire. I took no data or made any recordings of experience other than brown stains on my shorts. Two machines side by side for comparison is my basis for my conviction passenger vehicle tires are safer. Both R3's now have passenger vehicle tires.

I don't want it to sound like I'm rubbing salt into an open wound.....But the ABS is fantastic on the R3T, it chirps once, brakes hard, no skidding, AND it actually downshifts the bike at the same time, so when you get off the brake, your in the right gear to squirt through the hole.........I needed it once already, I'm happy for it.
Did you get the new auto gearbox model?

There's nothing in my manual about it, I spoke to the mechanic from the dealership over the phone, he has no answers and thinks I'm nuts, But he is going to call Triumph to ask about it, and wants me to bring it to him to try.
The last time I had to do a panic stop, the bike downshifted then it engaged autopilot and pulled in at the next bar for medication.
