All,

I've ordered a TuneECU cable from Amazon with intent to retune my stock 2010 R3T. I will eventually be removing the baffles/swapping exhausts/fab'n up new headers, but for now, I would just like to open the bike up a bit. What tune should I start with? Also, I've heard a few things about removing secondaries from the bike to open things up. Should I add that to the exhaust mod?

I'm in the same boat, commenting in the case someone finally comments that can help so I see a reply. Good luck to us! lol. Other forums and groups kept recommending R3o.net, but I'm finding less help here than on FB groups :(

Sorry I did not see your original post but unless it is kept active a thread soon disappears in to the parking lot, I assume you now have the cable and opening up secondaries is easy just makea copy of your original map and name it as such and save it then make changes as need to a copy or or contact me with an e-mail address and I can send you something but I will need what changes you have made otherwise since your original post

YOU dont need to make headers there are several great exhausts and intakes out there with maps to match

HansO,

haha please don't apologize... I don't know if you remember, but I ended up PM'ing you and you helped me with a good tune for my R3T. I didn't physically remove the secondaries, but you opened them in the tune and the bike runs very well. It was a touch rich until I removed the baffles from my stock pipes and added a high flow K&N underseat, which evened things out. I'm good for now. I appreciate your follow up. @IMFASTTOO, there don't seem to be plentiful options for R3T's in the full exhaust system department... Jardines and D&D only swap the cans and remove the CAT's, but don't replace the header pipe.

Carpenter racing makes a one piece header/ pipes out of stainless steel very nice unit, but no baffles so it is loud.
