2008 Touring Silencers:

These were removed and replaced with D & D pipes by the original owner. As best I can recall they were too quiet for some owners.

I was about to donate them to the local landfill but now wondering if someone wants them. There is a small dimple on the top inboard area of the right side muffler. I doubt it is noticeable when mounted on the bike and hidden by the saddlebag. Otherwise they look like new. There is a clamp on the inlet end of the left side pipe but no clamp on the right side pipe.

They weigh a ton and I suspect shipping will cost a small fortune. If there is any interest in them I will weigh them and try to get a shipping estimate but hoping someone locally can pick them up and spare me the packing hassle. I’d appreciate opinions about their value, if any.

I live in Escondido, CA(San Diego County).

PS I just weighed them and it comes to 25 lbs. I thought they'd be about double that.

These are tors
Triumph off road. Mufflers
May be a market for these.
I know a guy that will want these if Jay doesn't take them

Off road? Why are they on a road bike? What makes them off road?
They produce more noise than the stock pipes so that is why they have that sticker on them that says they can only be used on a closed circuit, (race thscl) not legal for street.
Some people like a little noise and can get away with a little extra noise in their atea.
I run the tors and pull in the clutch when in certain area's like school zones and early morning.
Hope this helps

Does that mean these are not the original pipes?

In Australia no cat required just noise limits that the TORs mildly exceed but as they appear 100% stock, no one gets any issues from the law even in USA UK but they may have to swap back to stock if they have yearly MOT registration checks tests that check sound decibels.

Here in my state ACT there is no annual MOT or checks required at all after initial purchase or change of ownership on private vehicles. Just pay online 24/7/365 for 3, 6 or 12 months and as long as your do not leave it unregistered for more than a year, you can just pay online again for another 3, 6 or 12 months as long as you own the vehicle.
