20,000 mile service

So, then, hopefully in conclusion, Triumph ostensibly did retroactively change the service interval for all RIIIs, including the older models to once every 20,000 miles? That's the question, fellas'.

It is somewhat a moot issue for me - not of great concern - because the Carpenterization of my ride included under valve shims, titanium valve somethings or other, etc., and some other internal goodies that should hold up quite a while provided that I keep the motor properly tuned and continue using the correct type(s) of motor oil for my worked motor, changed at proper intervals.

BTW, Steve, I think that you should add to or update that CRS acrynym's easiest reference source, coz' they have not included it's most important meaning - "Can't Remember Shyte"... CRS - Wikipedia

My bike guy (Triumph trained) said he would be glad to adjust my valves for me at about $300 but he said there was a 95% chance he would not need to touch them. He suggests waiting for signs (hard starting, clattering) they needed adjusting before doing the job. His opinion was I would be wasting my money.
 
Bought my 06 with 11,000 on it in 2013 and at that time I was informed triumph pushed the valve cks to 20-20-60,000 etc. I had valves checked at 20k for $550 from dealer and all were in spec, coarse' I didn't get out of there for less than $1700 as bad fork seals leaked fluid onto brakes and I told them to fix everything without asking for an estimate, middle of riding season and all.

$1,700 is more than I have spent in Truimph specialty tools to do the same work myself. Just bought all three tools for front forks. Plan on finally getting the Progressive springs in along with the oil change.
