Today my son has been out to test ride 2 Harley's, an 883cc something or other & a 1600cc street bob, sadly very disappointing. Oh my beloved Rocket3 stands proudly above them both. :p

Yea & not just a little bit. Those Harley's were as nothing alongside my Rocket, the exhaust cans were shaking & rattling along with the horn & every other bolt on bit. The side stand made of a bit of pressed tin, the clutch lever & movement so sloppy, the general quality of the machine is so poor compared with the triumph. I shall have to believe that it is only the case on these cheaper models but lets not forget that these are in the same price bracket as the Rocket - not a lot for your money. I used to think that I wanted one - I was wrong!:(

I wouldn't be so quick to trash their side stand , it's about the only thing they got right.

But I wouldn't trust it to hold up my R3 ! Holding the one that came with the floorboard kit must be 5lbs of solid steel.

Well, they got the idea right... on my Street Rod, I pulled over with about 180 miles on the clock from new. Kicked the stand down, and it just kept going. The bolt had vibrated out (apparently Loctite must charge them by the bolt or something) and I was stopped at a boat ramp with a 620 lb. brand new bike and had to lean it up against a piling like a dirt bike while I collected the stand. On the plus side, after I put it back together with some red Loctite, that little tab that locks the stand when you lean the bike on it is pretty cool I guess.
