2.5 Quick Shifter self install and/or shop rate

I added the QS when I bought the bike, use it all the time and love it. I got it as I suffer from a bit of arthritis in the hands here and there, and only having to use the clutch at stops and starts is great. Doesn’t hurt that when you are wringing its neck and smashing up through the gears that it shifts as fast as you can hit that gear lever! So good.

Quickshifter is a must on this bike, i cant imagine riding without it plus I go to dragstrips as well.

Second, you can install it by yourself, there guide by triumph and one you install it, go to dealer and pay them $100 and get it coded and calibrated in 30minutes. ( edited )

I use it all the time when I am passing cars on a single lane highway. It’s also really fun from a dead stop at lights. I would recommend you get the shop to do it because they do have to calibrate it as well and sometimes it loses its calibration right after install so you can just hold them accountable.

Great advice! Thx!

Yes! I just had the shifter installed - got to watch/assist. Two main pieces, quick shifter mechanism (with electric cable/connector attached), and new shift pedal (with end cup/thread attachments).

Install relatively simple. Then remove starter cover to get at connector, remove connector bracket screw to get at connector dummy end cap and remove, then attach new. Cable fairly long, so need to zip tie in place. Then need to him up to dealer tool, activate "TSA" in "Bike Setup" TFT screen. Run through each gear for at least 10 seconds.

Works fantastic. As good as my KTM 1290 SD GT I had. Pricey though. Part and labour $900 CDN...ouch! (Here come the cost criticisms...)

R3 Rocket 2.5 quick shifter install info required. Anyone self install and/or dealer. How easy, and how much if dealer installed? Thx in

Quick shifter installed. Works great! Rode about 100 km with it so far. Using it all the time now. Smooth. Little notchy when off throttle at lower rpm, but not an issue. Similar to the KTM shifter had on my 1290 SD GT. No regrets. Could be cheaper by half price though.
