10k mile oil changes???

Is that a typo on the manual?? just changed my oil and since i couldn't remember i checked the online manual, also valve checks every 40k miles??? is taht correct?? seems exessive long to me:confused:

Been working well for me.
No oil usage so far in 74K miles.

Maybe because I had that coil misfiring, I think warp said it could dirty up the oil.

I change my oil every 5,000 miles. Do a valve clearance check every 20,000. Fuel filter gets changed at 20,000 also check neck bearing clearance at this time. Three valve clearance checks along with cam replacement and clearance has been good to go minus the first check. First check clearance was on the high side from factory. Spark plugs every 20,000 miles. Brake and fork oil replaced every 12 months. After my electrical problem i now check connections and clean all connections and grease every 12 months. The driveshaft and components get cleaned and grease every tire change. Tune ECU used every 20,000 for throttle body balance and so forth. 70,000 from 2015 to present and no major issues. Throttle cables and clutch cable replaced at 40,000 miles. No shop required or desired. :D:D:D:D:D:D Replaced neck bearings and races at 40,000 miles. Worn out from the piss poor grease triumph used during assembly. IMG_0307 (1).JPG One of the best investments i ever made.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: plus Warp9's advice.

How soon we forget -- this was a big topic five years ago or so -- and yes, confirmed multiple times - first valve check is 20,000 miles.

Mine was done just for fun at 8,000 since I was changing the cams -- just for fun.
Ya but 5 years ago Lupe had a real rocket. Now he just has a black roadster :D
