Good fun. A nice job for a couple of fat cats.

One of you needs to work on the reaction time. oy give the man another mile....
Very first time on a drag strip. I went when the light turned green. Kevin was just laughing & shaking his head. He gave me a bunch of pointers. It was soooo much fun!

The gt is quicker than the touring thats for sure, his times were better everywhere, i was winning at the starting line but that was it. We will both get faster, that was first passes of the year. The gt did that with 42psi in the rear and wasn’t really slipping much, when Phillip gets that monster figured out hes gonna be tougher to win against. But the big girl will not give up and will improve also. We hope to get 110mph by fall. We will be going to beach bend 1/4mi drag strip soon for more head to head Touring vs GT.

I need to work on a bunch of stuff. Please, chime in with an opinion. I think (see, already a problem ) my rear tire pressure was 40lbs. Would 30 be ok? Sit up at launch so more weight in on rear and then tuck after 1st? That idea had me really worried because we watched one of those stretched-out drag bikes instantly launch straight up into the air and he laid it over right there without flipping. Rider and bike both seemed to be ok but that definitely got my attention! What the heck am I getting into here? RPM’s. I was at idle or very close to it at launch. See above. Would 3k or so be a good starting point? I know not to just dump the clutch but for shifts after that can I blip the throttle and shift without the clutch or is that just asking for bent shift forks? Speed shifter? I am getting my 20k service done next week and everyone seems to rave about them. Hmmm. I think just going to the strip and doing it again and again will be eye-opening but I know there are a bunch of “been there, done it” smart folks on here that can help. Thank you in advance!
