Hello, I'm no expert, and I had to stare at the photo and tilt my head to understand what I was seeing... but if your exhaust pipe is running that hot, then no, it is not normal. She's either running too lean (air-fuel mixture) or you have a coolant issue. I'd suspect a lean air-fuel ratio first. I had this problem with my classic car. I'd recommend you do a search on engine tuning (it could be the loaded ECU tune is not right), then get TuneECU and install a proper tune to start.

Got it. I agree with @TURBO200R4, it can also be a timing issue. I've never timed my bike so I am no help there. But I still suggest you get TuneECU to look at the bikes performance parameters and ensure you have a good tune loaded in the ECU. Look at @idk 's signature block on any of his messages and if you don't have it, download the service manual.

I dont think anyone would retard timing in the map
may be someone had the motor apart and did not get cams and crank back where they belong or at the back where the crank sensor works
