I put the Carpenter pipe on my Roadster and moved the foot controls forward 8". I love the bike now but the heat coming off the header is cooking my pants and boots. I bought a couple rolls of DEI lava header wrap that I plan to install. Heat shields won't work as the front pipe makes a quick...
I'm at 17K miles and will soon go in for my first valve adjustment. I was considering removing the head and having my friend port, mill and maybe even big valve the head.
If I do this, I'll be in need of a better flowing header. I have good flowing D&D's that are loud enough. I have been told...
G'day guys.. Just wondering if anyone has any stock headers available in oz.. I'm looking for damaged ones mainly but any will do.. Thanks for any help guys.. :D
Well, as with all good things, it takes time but....
jig is set up and all coming along nicely. should have finished product in next fortnight and have a proper update but just got these pics today so thought id share.
before you comment on these headers... these were a mock up for spacing...
I have looked around, perhaps I missed it, but is there a header to replace the stock one in a roadster? I have the staintune crossover coming and tors on it. I don't want to scrap the whole system, but it would be nice to have a header that will mount up to the staintune (since that replaces...
I thinking about heat wrapping the headers to decrease heat on my right leg on hot days in stop and go traffic. From looking at past threads it appears several have tried this and some have removed it due to heat problems further down stream (starter and battery problems from the cross-over or...
Has anyone here ran an R3 on a Dyno with the addition of only an aftermarket header, exhaust and a tune, compared to a stock header with an aftermarket exhaust and a tune? If so, what were the results?
this is what 1.75 vs 2.0 od tubes looks like on a dyno..red(run 425) is 1.75 blue (run430) is 2.0.. there seems to be a lot of bigger is better out there but well hey i built both and these are the results.. no i havent built a 1.625 in this "cr" style.. dont think i will cuz im about done with...
After a little over 1000 miles last weekend in over 90 degree heat, I have decided that it is just to dam hot to ride this bike in these kind of temps. I had the Jardine header wrapped and this helped tremendously. I am seriously going to investigate getting the exhaust header jet sprayed to...
I'm having a custom header made by these guys:
Custom Headers Built To Your Specifications
I had to send them my stock headpipe for mock up. It's going to be a 304 stainless steel equal length header that will pick up my current staintune cat bypass and pipes. I must say I'm missing not...
Looking to go into this direction - think I'll be running into problems with a custom setup?
North Jersey Customs
That's the only shop around here that seems appropriate for that kind of work....
Let me know what you guys think - I would really like to get into header work and a new exhaust -...
So....
I was washing my Rocket (engine warm) and after washing it; I towel dried her good. Decided to fire her up and get the water in the nooks and crannies evaporated (couldn't ride her since I was already half inebriated....)
It was starting to get dark out (dusk)
Let her run at idle for...
is there any where that will sell just the Jardine header -- not the fully exhaust system? or do i have to wait for one to show up on classifieds/ebay?
Hey Troops;
have searched high and low and cannot seem to find anyone that sells the 3 into 1 predator headers for the R3. the R3 is not even listed on the company s own website. are they even available domestically or have to be imported?
any suggestions?
thanks.
Jeff
2006 R3 (darkside) :D...
but I'm not sure where to buy them at. I've checked Predator Pipes - Superior Exhaust Solutions for the Triumph Rocket III but it seems to be a dead website.
Where is the best place to do the Predictor's and a Tuneboy?
Also, do the Preditor's come with heat shields?
