:confused:Have just received the chrome Exh.flange covers for my new 2011 Roadster. Look good, but before I start, any words of advice on istallation of these, or things to watch out for? I don't want to muck anything up! Should I put on one at a time, or all 3 at once? Any point in using...
Are any of you running the D&D's or know a fellow Rocket owner that is or has run them? Just curious but I am interested in performance, construction (welds) , chrome quality, etc. May change from the TORS if I don't get negative feedback. If I do, TORS spoken for by Gr3ywolf a long time ago.
When I got my R3 about 6 weeks ago it had a huge muffler on it from a Yamaha Warrior. Nice and quite but lots of back pressure , and looked like a small water heater. The previous owner had installed it to get rid of some loud drag looking pipes.
I installed a super trap Universal .24 inch...
Thinking about going back to the standard exhast system from the TORS, question is should I get the standard tune 20222 (I think!) put back into the ECU, I have the TORS tune atm 20226; I intend to keep the Cat delete fitted?
I am also on a forum for Honda cruisers (shadows) and a lot of guys on that forum will do what is known as a "hole saw mod" or "rebar mod".
What this is is drilling out the baffles or punching a hole or 2 into the baffles with a long length of sharpened rebar.
It gives the bike more rumble and...
Well I had posted about an exhaust leak where the header meets the cat. bypass. Since I really didn't want to tear the whole system apart, I figured I'de just try to tighten the clamp. The existing clamp was bottomed out and still leaking so I went to try and find a slightly smaller one at a...
Exhaust leak?
I got up this morning with the intention of fixing an exhaust leak I noticed the other day with some RTV silicone. It's where the header collector meets the cat by-pass. After taking the heat covers off it looks like I'll need to take the whole exhaust system apart from the header...
Okay, so I've decided on used R3 Touring model and if all goes well I should be getting one in a couple of weeks (Yeeehaaa...chomping at the bit!!!). Before I go all in and do this... I have a question about the exhaust sound.
Of all the downside features of the R3 (Touring or otherwise) for...
Looking to go into this direction - think I'll be running into problems with a custom setup?
North Jersey Customs
That's the only shop around here that seems appropriate for that kind of work....
Let me know what you guys think - I would really like to get into header work and a new exhaust -...
I've seen many different mods for the R3's......3 into 2 etc.etc.
Has anyone seen a 3 into 4 mod?? Could be an interesting sound especially with a cat eliminator!
For the non-R3R owners, pics often look like the stock exhaust has a big gaping maw:
In actuality there is a plastic end-cap there occupying a large portion of that area.
Has anyone pulled that off to see what's up under there? I'm curious as I would prefer a huge dark hole. But yanking it...
Howdi all, I'm hearing different stories related to the after market exhausts - some say you must have a remap, others say you don't - obviously the official line from the dealers is that you do need a remap, but does anyone know if the engine management system compensates for the difference if...
Finally took a few shots of my Roadster:
I also took some shots of the exhaust, as it is one of the primary changes for the Roadster. I thought people might be interested in having a peek at what Triumph did under there .. you know, so we can all decide what would have been better. :)...
Hey Captains,
Sam "Travel Guy" has offered the possibility that he will make another run of his world famous Predator pipes; if he can get a minimum of seven Captains to commit to purchasing them. I want a set, and there's reportedly two other Captains whom want a set as well.
So we...
I just ordered the D@D exhaust kit for $525, but I forgot to ask if I needed to reflash my ECU. It doesnt say anything on the website so I'm assuming it's a small enough change it is not required.
I have a couple months to decide which exhaust to purchase for my new Roadster. I just need some help narrowing it down to one. I've already eliminated a few systems. I cannot get the TOR's they are only for the non-Roadster. The Preds are hard to come by, though they look and sound great. D&D...
Anybody running these and know anything about them. Look pretty good with the 3 into 2's and new headers pipes. Wanting to upgrade and can't get any answers on the preds.
Thanks in advance
