hello all. So I've got my pride n joy on the Virge of taking out for a test run after a lengthy and enjoyable engine swap. BUT this step is baffling me after combing over many many threads of this similar/ exact same issue. With following the captains n gurus step by step words of wisdom....haha...
Morning guys,
My clutch started sticking before I start her up ,if I pull the clutch in in gear and rock it it won't free up.
If I start it in gear it pulls a little but frees up.
Once riding its smooth but everytime I engage gear from a stop its a hard clunk any ideas ????
And if I start in...
I know this is somewhat of a common phenomenon on bikes, but I haven't seen it mentioned in the 2020+ forums so thought I'd ask. My bike didn't do this new, but now with ~4k miles on the clock, if I come to a stop in neutral with the clutch level released, I get some minor rattle noises from...
Bike, 2020gt with 10grand, threw an engine code. Was running rough, and would quit coming to a light. Dealer diagnosis said it was clutch switch, which apparently causes the brain to need lobotomization. The clutch switch is located under the clutch lever and is vulnerable to damage from...
I started noticing an occasional squeal noise when riding coming from the front end which seemed to start soon after a front tire change. At first I thought it was coming from the tire and took the wheel off to feel the bearings and had my brother ride it in front of the house so I could try to...
Some of you may have seen my last bit about clutch cables. That cable was too short. The previous owner had installed a different handlebar. The cable was very hard to pull the clutch lever. Plus he had moved the bottom cam off the alignment marks. I guess to get it to fit. I ordered a 6...
I put the bike in the stand and got it up to where it was easy to see things. A bunch of little things added up to a pain in the butt. First of all, I found out the workshop manual I purchased back in Dec is for the 05>07. I call the seller today and no beating around the bush. he will have...
This is on a 2014 Touring. Has about 3100 miles on it. I have been pulling wrenches on my bikes for more than a few decades. The clutch adjustment is supposed to be a very simple task. I have about a hundred miles on it since I purchased it. The clutch has always pulled hard. Decided to put...
Does anyone else find the clutch heavy? My new Rocket's clutch feels about twice as heavy to pull as my 2018 T120. I know the T120 has a cable system, but the Rocket can get tiring in traffic. I'm just wondering if this is normal.
Over the last few months I’ve noticed a small but steady leak coming from the clutch reservoir/master cylinder but can’t identify from exactly where! It would seem to be from the vent hole at the bottom but can’t be sure, it doesn’t drip in the tank but it’s defo weeping! Any had any experience...
Hey guys, Im new around here and muscle bikes, I just got a Rocket 3 and on first gear everything goes perfectly until I pull the clutch it kicks, doesnt feel to be slipping, it just kick once, and in all the other gears everything is okay, just normal.
Btw the bike just got full service on...
I thought I would add this here as a separate thread for those interested that aren't following the clutch issues thread. I spoke with Triumph and here's how they explain things with the R 3;
"Traction Control works with the computers that are looking at wheel speed, one the wheel speed is...
If any one has a part number for the heavy duty Barnett clutch spring set only, can you please let me know .I would like to purchase a set but would rather not have to buy the fibers and steels as well. Cheers
Love this video by Triumph but have they got a problem or am I just unlucky? Do these bikes in the video survive?
Riding Rocket 3 R
Problem: Took the beast for a few laps of a race track where she performed nicely. But then, a quick launch - wanted to do a straight line run, try to spin up...
Guys, does anyone in the US have a knackered clutch basket that they could let me have the back plate? I sent a basket over to MTC to get a new one built, they found that the back plate is knackered. That is one of a few parts they actually need to build my new set up. see pics
quick question, i replaced the fibres and steels in the clutch with the Hyabusa clutch kit, it also came with new springs for the pressure place, if anyone has used this setup, did you use the stock triumph springs, or the Busa ones, the differences between the two are,
Busa spring is 2mm...
I recently had to change out clutch pack. Oem fibers and other makers are about 20 bucks for fibers and 15 for steels, i bought a hyabusa kit and installed and it is butter smooth and works flawlessly, so im putting this up as the busa kit is 159, the math is obvious, the anti judder washer and...
Hello all!!! I recently picked up a used 2005 Rocket, I love it. One of the first things I did was install a heavy duty Barnett clutch without issue. Put on about 500 miles no problems at all, noticed that the clutch adjustment at the handle needed to be tweaked to give me the recommended 2mm of...
