    For Sale 2005 Rocket 3

Very nice Triumph Rocket 3. Custom paint. K&N Filter upgrade with airbox delete. Performance pipes, windshield, saddlebags. This bike catches attention where ever it goes. The bike is in great shape with no issues. The speedometer is not original as the original cluster failed. The current...

TOR Exhaust on an 05 Standard installation??

Thanks for the insight. Funny about your brief stint with a DS. I did the same. It was brief. Looks like I may be considering some Jars. Seems the Roadster pipe dream is just that at this point. I have the K&N filter mod parts ordered and want to allow the bike to breathe in and out...

Speedometer and Tach Die at the same time.....Thanks Lucas.....

Yep, left the battery disconnected for about 15 min over the weekend. No change. Thanks for the suggestion though. Not far from installing a Dakota Digital unit. Great instructions on this site for the install.

TOR Exhaust on an 05 Standard installation??

So, ultimately if I buy a CAT delete pipe I can use the Roadster TORS that I have purchased on my 2005 Rocket Standard and have the 2 pipe system instead of my current 3 pipe system?

Roadster TORS on a 2005 Standard? Can they fit?

I like the balanced look of the Roadster exhaust much better than what I currently have on my 2005 Standard 3-pipe setup. Actually, I am finding out the hard way. I already have a pair of TORS without investigating enough. What will it take to make the change?

TOR Exhaust on an 05 Standard installation??

That is indeed what I purchased. Part number A9608077. Never saw a picture of the inlet side of the pipes. Figured an adapter would be in the box. Ideas?

TOR Exhaust on an 05 Standard installation??

OK guys, been all through this site and can't find an answer. How am I supposed to fit an exhaust system with only 2 pipes to a bike that currently has 3 pipes? The CAT converter under the bike obviously has 3 outlets.

Speedometer and Tach Die at the same time.....Thanks Lucas.....

I have had the gauges out and also my father's gauges from his R3. I plugged my harness into the back of his gauges and his gauges worked properly. For this reason, I felt that my wire harnness was off the table as far as being faulty. The only thing that I did not do is take my gauges to his...

Speedometer and Tach Die at the same time.....Thanks Lucas.....

I stopped in to a dealer yesterday. They were indeed helpful as they could be for a drive by type deal. They interfaced my R3S with their laptop and Triumph software. Indeed, 2 codes were set. Both involving gauges. I wish I could remember the numbers. We simply cleared them in an attempt...

Speedometer and Tach Die at the same time.....Thanks Lucas.....

I did plug my gauges into my dad's bike. I did not plug his harness directly into my gauges. I had my gauges connected to my harness and plugged in to his R3S under the tank. My gauges behaved the same as they had been.....dead.

Speedometer and Tach Die at the same time.....Thanks Lucas.....

Thanks for all the replies guys. Tried the suggestions offered before I posted. All fuses verified, the harness has been tested. Dielectric grease on all the plugs. No corrosion noted during inspection. It all points to my gauges being fried. My fathers gauges lit up immediately and...

    Instruments Dead.....Bike runs fine...What gives?

Yes. His gauges worked perfectly when I plugged my plugs into the back of his gauges on my bike. Seemed pretty clear that my gauges are toast. I have even tried to plug my harness into the back of my gauges one at a time. I did this to try to confirm that one gauge is not shorting the other...

Speedometer and Tach Die at the same time.....Thanks Lucas.....

Ok guys, need expert advice. Both instruments died after a ride. My dad also has a R3S and we plugged his gauges into my harness directly into the back of the gauges to eliminate anything with the harness. His gauges worked normally on my bike and make me think that my gauges are toast. The...

    gone dark

Had about 35 psi in it. It is likely that I did not give it enough time and research. I replaced it within a week of ownership. It felt soooo different from what I felt a bike should feel like I figured it had to be wrong. Also, I had General tires back in the 80s and they were then...

    gone dark

Purchased my R3S with a darkside on it. it was a General. Had to yank it off and put out some cash for a proper tire. Handling in the corners felt really bad. Bike would practically stand up without the side stand down when parked. Great launch from traffic lights, thats about it for me...

    Instruments Dead.....Bike runs fine...What gives?

OK, more information here. My dad also has an 05 R3S. We isolated the problem down to my gauges. Plugged his gauges into my bike. Stripped things down to the point that my harness was plugged directly into his gauges such that I could eliminate anything in my harness from the problem...

    Not good for 2013

Yep, read the same thing on this site last night. Poor guy was considering buying another ECU just to work around the sideswipe from Triumph.

Greetings to all from Acworth, GA

Thanks for the welcome XHDSKIP. Been spending a great deal of time in your fair state lately. My company just finished a lot of work in the new Devon Tower in OKC and are about to begin a Google data center in Pryor. Oklahoma is awesome.
