for the record, the previuos owner was 60 odd years old , he is registered disabled , he didnt clean the bike like you should but i can bet my bollox that he didnt hoon around on it like mad max , , finally the gearbox is a weak and poor design and that issue lies firmly in the lap of triumph...

dont take my frustration personally, when it works i love the bike , but to be bitten twice is unfortunate . I shall sell the rocket at a loss to allow the repair work to be covered by next owner , but my decision has been made , i spend 8 to 9 months a year overseas in some real ****ty places...

and for those reasons triumphphil i have decided to call it a day and move on , i can do without the embuggerance and financial costs of repairing stuff that they know is wrong, Triumph , just another faceless corporate organisation , cutting corners during R&D , and then ignoring it. A mate...

TC, my first rocket was a black motor and had the dogs issue , that was in 2006 and triumph was very aware then , it is still being an issue on much newer bikes. Triumph has neglected to recall , to me that sends a very clear message,, i have no customer obligation to be loyal to triumph, if...

i dont abuse my rocket but i do use what is available , i shift at around 5500 rpm. Taking it to redline seems pointless and the torque curve drops off anyway. The engine is fine , the gearbox is not, trumpet made a superb bike but have cut corners in the transmission department , i know ,,lets...

I have been here before , my last rocket had the 2nd gear issue, resolved under warranty. Out for a long ride yesterday, 4 times it jumped out of 2nd gear when giving it some beans. Also noticed an increase in vibration in the bars, really buzzy and hand numbing,,,I am in two minds, sell or...

i think i have found the compromise, just purchased a Caberg helmet without a chin bar but the visor covers my visage , the difference is huge, doubly pleased as it was in a sale 199 euro reduced to 79, what a winner. On the side is a removable cover and my mini ipod fits inside it , what a...

sure i have seen it , i was allowed to sit on it as well :sneaky: yeah the oem screen is low but aftermarket screens address that issue. Apart from the price i think it is a fine looking machine and no doubt it will sustain Hondas reliabiltiy reputation. However, in the meantime im having fun on...
