Bike No2 joins the Rocket 3 in Jagster's garage.....

Never heard of them but I thought that’s what was on the tank pic - so I googled it.

Asking price for a 2015 Rocket X here in Perth, Australia.

A bike is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it so it’s always difficult to know what to ask, especially for something that is rare. 2015 Roadsters tend to sell $14k-$17k but I do agree with you that the X is special and there will be some potential buyers who missed out and others...

    R111 exhaust

Yes, that’s a Classic. 2009 was the last year for those; there were no 2010s. Looks to be in great condition.. You shouldn’t have any problems fitting a Roadster link pipe and the Roadster mufflers you’ve found but you will almost certainly need to play with mounts. As mentioned, I did...

    R111 exhaust

Actually Les you’ve reminded me that I had no mounts for crossover on my Foran 2 pipe set up on my ‘09 Standard either. The crossover pipe just sat there on its own.

    R111 exhaust

Hi. I hardly ever visit these days as I sold my Rocket about 10 years ago so I’m dealing on past memory here. First up, the Roadster came out in 2010 so if you have a Classic (or a Standard) it can’t be any newer than 2009. I actually think the last Classics came out on 2008 but could be ‘09...

    Identifying this please

Well there you go. I thought it might have been a flux capacitor.

    Help

Yes they all do, even the Touring. Rear disk has 6 I think (but I can’t check to confirm). So it’s possible the disc is off the correct bike, just the seller doesn’t know his arse from his elbow.

    Never been in the Rain

It means the owner is a sissy.

    Help

All Roadsters have ABS. Roadster came out in 2010 and were the first Rockets to have ABS as standard. It was optional on Touring models initially before being standard on them too. The problem is that too many people refer to the earlier models as Roadsters when they’re clearly not. The safest...

    2011 Models...

Here’s the evidence. Fortunately I had a heat shield that almost covered it.

    2011 Models...

That’s easy. If they’re ceramic coated DO NOT USE OVEN CLEANER. 😂😩

Jumping out of gear - HELP

Thanks for reviving a 12 yo thread! 😳 It warmed my heart to read over it. RIP Cobba.

    2011 Models...

A lot of “new comers” don’t understand that Roadsters came out in 2010 and were the first model to have ABS. If a bike is genuinely 2011 it will be or would have been a Roadster. As @Ishrub has pointed, if a Roadster has a silver engine it is not the original engine. ABS is also a give away. A...

Saddlebags & Mounts but no installation instructions.

You problem was that you put the part no for the panniers in rather than the mount kit. In triumphinstructions.com put A9518172 and the instructions are there.

    Rocket owners average age!

You’re going to have to be more specific, @Ishrub. While a Shilling converted to 10c, three pence (ie 1/4 of a Shilling) converted to 2.5 cents. So, are you saying you’re 63 or 62 1/2? And does anyone care? 😂

    Rocket owners average age!

Because @ruzzle got all nostalgic, here’s a pic (it‘s in my Media) from 13 years ago. The occasion was that Ruzzle had just received his letter from the late Queen on turning 100. We lifted him out of his Zimmer frame, handed him a leather jacket and told him to stand behind the Rockets. He...

    Luggage Options?!

There’s plenty out there. Here’s a sample. You might need to add some bracket extenders to get over you seat. https://customcruisers.com/contents/en-uk/p10183_triumph-rocket-3-iii-roadster-solo-rider-driver-backrest-and-luggage-rack.html

    Excessive Heat from Exhaust manifold.

You will never get high temp paint to hold up on headers. I’ve tried it on a Bonneville T120 with black pipes that had browned off on the top bend. Ceramic coating is the only treatment that holds up, and even then it goes off over time ie goes dull and loses colour. You can get any exhaust to...

    Pretty sure that’s @ruzzle (dreamin’……again).

    Whats with Triumph values

So you were serious about selling/trading it after less than 100 miles? My mistake. I clearly misunderstood what you meant by “on a whim”. So why are you getting rid of it so soon?
