  1. Time for a Texas Roll Call

    550
  2. GT Seat Leather or Vinyl?

The newer Harleys (I had the 2019 fatbob) had seat covers identical to the triumph (unrelated - fatbob seat was slight more plush and comfier) Maybe the older ones had real leather seating surfaces?
  3. Foglights

I tend to ride more in the daytime - but would love to be able to add foglights to make the rocket more visible to other vehicles on the road. Can't find a place to mount the foglights unfortunately
  4. Kickstand upgrade...the cheap and easy way.

I can confirm that putting the kickstand down on my harley would scratch the epoxy (the jiffy stand on the harley slides about half an inch after the weight of the bike starts being applied on it - and the stand then locks in place - will not let the bike roll forward even on a slope). So, yeah...
  5. Kickstand upgrade...the cheap and easy way.

no - actually had it professionally done. Looks really good, so I don't want to damage it if possible :)
  6. Kickstand upgrade...the cheap and easy way.

Agreed - I was just looking for something that was attached to the kickstand and would not scratch the epoxy floor. For now, I'll continue to use the one I have now. I don't have saddlebags on the R3, so carrying the pad around is not fun.
  7. Kickstand upgrade...the cheap and easy way.

That's the one I use currently - it just has to be manually placed in the right spot (unlike the one above that is fixed to the kickstand)
  8. Kickstand upgrade...the cheap and easy way.

Thank you. I do have a grinder, so that's not an issue. Bottom plate being aluminum is a problem for me unfortunately (will still scrape the floor coating). Maybe I can glue on a rubber pad to it... Hmm
  9. Kickstand upgrade...the cheap and easy way.

Could you perhaps elaborate a little on "carefully planed modifications"? Are we talking bending the top plate? Or grinding? Also, what's the underside of this? Is it metal? Or plastic/rubbery? (My garage floor has an epoxy coating, and want something that will prevent the metal...
  10. Does anyone make frame sliders/protectors for these bikes?

Agree with almost everything you said except the part about the clearbra protecting from scratches from a parking lot drop - unless one gently lowers the bike to its side, clearbra will likely not prevent a dent or scratch from an uncontrolled drop to asphalt/gravel/concrete. Also, while skills...
  11. Innovv K5 camera system

Thank you - those pictures are perfect! I will read up more on the penner tune, but given I have the storm version, I suspect I may not need a tune at least initially 😜 I thought most ECU maps were to open up the non-storm R3 to the 180Hp. Guessing the penner tune does more than that - I will...
  12. Time for a Texas Roll Call

New 25 storm GT owner checking in from DFW area. Will be looking for a dealership to do my 600 mile service soon - called one of the 3 local dealerships and got a quote for $480 ish - that sounds stupid high (and I had a Harley before the rocket). Has anyone gotten better prices for service in...
  13. Innovv K5 camera system

One more question... :) For the rear camera, how did you route the cable from under the seat (assuming along the transmission) to the license plate area? I can't seem to get it clean enough On an unrelated note, took the rocket out for the first open back roads ride this morning - holy moly...
  14. Left Side AUX Power Socket

Finished the install today - was fairly straightforward. Finding the connector took the longest :) Attached image shows how I initially pulled it out, and the other images shows how I routed it (before fastening it to the mounting bracket below. Putting the protective boot - I flipped the boot...
  15. First service, what did people pay? I was just quoted $380

285 would be great compared to what my local dealership quoted - $480 for 600 mile service... (I just got the bike a few days ago so only 100 miles on it so far) - will need to check rates from other locations soon
  16. Left Side AUX Power Socket

If you could, please take a video of how you get the plug connected to the socket? :) I won't get my socket for another few days :(
  17. Left Side AUX Power Socket

I plan to install it - from what I've read so far, it is a permanent power source (since it can be used for battery tender connection). You supposedly have to remove the left side panel first - take off oil tank cap, remove the 2 screws inside and then remove dipstick, and then remove the ring...
  18. Innovv K5 camera system

    Thank you! This is perfect!
  19. Innovv K5 camera system

Is it possible to tie to wiring harness without removing the gas tank? I'll look again, but when I looked this morning, it was not evident how to tie up to that
  20. Innovv K5 camera system

Sorry about all the questions - but now that I got my Storm GT and am working on installing the camera, I've got one more :) How did you route the front camera cable (from under the seat? Between the engine and gas tank I assume - but that area likely gets really really hot - hotter than my...
