Triumph Storm gt
Hi All I have an issue going on with the hill hold. I went for a ride yesterday and after about 10 min the hill hold would not functiion(when i try activate, the hill hold light comes up in orange and says not available). At the same time the engine warning light came on and has remained on whenever the bike is switched on and or being ridden. I tried to book into my dealer but they cant see me till next week. I am very keen to ride the bike over the long weekend so hope there is someone who can help. I have recently changed the battery to a LI -ON one. I also did a mid control conversion had to bleed the back brakes as a result etc. I went for a long ride (3 hours througgh the hills) subsequenty and everything was perfect. The second time I went for a ride after the upgrades I hit this issue! Any advice would be very much appreciated.🙏

My guess is you may have got air in the system and the hill hold will not hold setting a code so it will not even thy.
I would try to bleed the rear cylender to see if the pedal is good and if you get any air out of the system.

You need to read the code and wright it down then clear codes even if you fix the problem sometimes it will not work until you clear codes.

A small obd reader and clear codes I think will clear codes
Most on here use a tuneecu with cable
The cable name I have at the shop..

I wonder if the air in the brake system is in the ABS unit now? Hence it not coming out the rear bleed, would also account for the no hill hold. Mind you, you'd think if there was air in the ABS it'd have an ABS warning light up too.

I used my obd reader to remove the fault. the reader did not give me the fault code though. the hill hold is still not working. my obd was not compatable with reading the faults only detecting and deleting.

thank you @Kiwicol. The ABS light is normal and only on for a few moments after startup.
