    1st Service rippoff

Hi, my 'free' first service cost me £86 recently, took a ride over to the dealers to book it in and was suprissed to find they were able to shuffle jobs around and get it done there and then....mind you it only took 1/2 hour so I know it was only oil/ filter and a visual inspection. Gratefull...

    Hello :)

Welcome Andy from another Andy in Lincolnshire. You will love the bike when you get a few miles under the belt on it, nothing else has the presence of the Rocket ! Bull, in the UK we have a spilt licensing year, the 1st half (march-august) depicts the year then 2nd half (sept-feb) is that year...

Spare Rocket III TOR's Cut them down?

Dan, the baffle you can see is the stuff I added not factory, (I had used 2 pieces pushed inside each other that would adjust to the correct length when the end cap was pushed on for reference only). I could of literally just cut the middle section out and welded the cap back on if I had wanted...

Spare Rocket III TOR's Cut them down?

Here's an update on my pipes, I cut them on the bandsaw and took around half the length off the body of the pipes. Because they are Tourer pipes they are mounted differently and had to be turned 90 degrees so the mounts were reusable. 2" perforated tube and glass wadding have been used to dampen...

Spare Rocket III TOR's Cut them down?

Hi Dan, I have bought a second hand pair of touring pipes to do exactly the same thing. I'm thinking of cutting them at the point where they enlarge (where the covers end) and then shortening the tubes down to about 12", packing what's left with a 2" perf' baffle and glass fibre, then tig...

    Rocket arrived today

Skivvies ? What are they ? If you meant undies I don't think that will be happening any time soon, there's only usually 2-3 days a year warm enough round here to get yer kit off...and usually I end up working on those days, thankfully !

    Rocket arrived today

Thanks for all the great welcome comments, Lincolnshire UK sounds very different to Canberra Aus or Illinous Us at the moment.....mores the pity. Just working out what to change at the moment but I really want a riders backrest and a passenger sissy bar/rack to keep her on the back...on the back...

The skunk, I like that. I might even nickname it 'Pepe-le-pue' for when I go stinking past my harley riding buddies !

    Rocket arrived today

Hi, I joined a couple of months ago, just as I was deciding what to do about changing from my cool as #%^* Harley to a Rocket, because of the test ride reviews and info on here I went for it and my new Matt Black R3 Roadster has just arrived ! I am hoping for some kinder weather now as...
