    i sometimes have the judder and it tries to move off,iv had the plates out twice checked and measured,re-installed.still does it.im going to be watching with interest

    when you go for second,hold the shifter up keeping pressure upward,same with third.see if it drives, if it does id go for the detent spring.

    its done through the clutch casing at the front of the motor,does it have a new gasket in there.

    Please let us know the outcome of your visit to the dealer.They are going to be hard pressed to come up with the piston slap excuse now.

    Take it back to the dealer.You could pop in the spacer for a while.I bet your angry now

    As warp says it could be the clutch lifter.does it rattle when the clutch is pulled? or does it go away?

    remove the bolt in the centre of the tensioner body (careful its spring loaded) DO NOT TURN MOTOR AFTER THIS.remove spring and measure from the body where the washer seats to the shoulder inside the tensioner body.

    They probably would but did they want to do it ? its a 10 minute job id have a look if i were you.

    Have you checked the tensioner plunger to see how far in it is.16mm and it requires a spacer.
