Why not they’re just fun foolishness?

Well it started out that everyone I knew had one and were really superstitious about them. Then all the christian riders started getting angel bells still being superstitious. I dont need some piece of metal hanging off my bike to ward of evil gremlins or to call my guardian angel.

I'd be wanting a 'clanger' in mine anyway. And a big SoB, like an old time church bell, to bash the bastards to bits once they get in there.

It ain't just gremilins that you deal with.

I reckon there is no point approaching the gates of heaven without being able to ring the bell if you need to get in!

And in the likely event that the neighborhood rejects me, I can still p!ss 'em off with my regular pass-bys!

I put some of those deer alerts on my car many years ago when I lived in pa.

One night driving home I turned a corner and a whole herd of deer were standing in the road looking at me like wtf is that noise. Your cowbell might have the same effect...

As long as it calls them in after the ride, and not during.

He has one already and has had for years. It is a Scot's traditional 'bell and kilt' inheritance from Grandfather to grandson. After-all, isn't that why they wear kilts? D@mn tricky to wear with trousers

And being a canny Scot he has preserved and proven his heritage.

He inherited his Grandfather's bell and kilt during the swinging '70s and in the fashion of the day only wore them in the 'mini kilt' style. That was still possible when his bollocks hung at the same height as his glutes but he knew that has got older 'they' would both hang much lower.
So in the '70's he only folded the top of Grandpa's kilt over for his 'mini' to enable his kilt to lengthen to match them both as he aged.
