I started 2 years ago on a Kawasaki 800 Vulcan Classic and also spent some time on a 250 Ninja that I bought the wife. The Vulcan is where I learned to ride and the Ninja showed me that a bike that handles well is great fun. Knowing that I hot rod EVERYTHING like Tim the Toolman Taylor, I had to go all out and get the big girl. Then I hot rodded that too ....
A 1973 Harley FLH, that i've owned for 20 years, then a 1995 Triumph Trophy 1200 4, that i've had for 10 years...both of which i still own after purchasing my Rocket. Bigern
2 Honda Valkyries. A deer ate the first one and mileage piled up on number 2. I loved them and hated to get rid of #2. Guess what? The R3 Classic Tourer was the best decision I ever made. It's the natural follow up to the Valk, and I do mean "up."
I'll keep the list short, in asmuchas the question was, "what were you riding before your Rocket". That for me was a '95 Suzuki VS1400 Intruder. I'm fixing it for the wife these days. It is a dog where two-up traveling is concerned; compared to the Rocket of course.
That's purty Dan, I like.....must have been one of those yammies that was only sold in Europe. What year?
When I bought my Rocket I was riding a VS 800 Intruder, a VL 1500 Intruder, and a V-strom.....I still have the 800 as a back up bike but since the Rocket never breaks down the 800 hardly sees the street anymore.
