Windscreen instalation

I just bought a secondhand roadster windscreen from a 2009 model and am going to fix it to my new roadster when I go travelling and keep my flyscreen for around town and short trips.

Can someone post a photo of how the mounting bracket is meant to be assembled on the windscreen, as I am not sure if the small black clamping plates and acorn nuts should be facing to the outside or the inside.
I already have the fixing kit mounted to the forktubes.

I have my acorn nuts on the 'outside' - been on there for 10k miles - works for me! I hope that helps.

Outside's the ticket. We had a bit of trouble aligning the fixings, so we found it very helpful to use the screen as kind of a "jig." We left the fixing mounts fairly loose and mounted the screen. Tightening the screen bolts to the semi loose fixings pulled all into alignment.

We trudge on (screened).
 
Of course a dealership in MA installed mine with the nuts on the inside of the screen.... and which I'm gonna change. Anyone have directions for proper installation? I think mine was on once and was promptly removed, until I started getting hit by bumble bees at sixty mph. There's a couple of slightly oversized lock washers which might make a good spacer for the squared carriage bolts, then the screen flange, then the bar, then the nuts, inboard to outboard. Sound right?
 
It appears the acorn nuts were meant to go on the outside for ease of adjustment.
I have found having them on the outside restricts the screen from using all of the adjustment slot because the mounting acorn nut hits the small acorn nut that holds the plastic screen to the frame.
 
Well, I've returned from my very first ride with any sort of windscreen. I'm not impressed. What I have I think is the large screen, and at 6-2 or so, my face and head was buffeted by wind more with a windscreen than ever without. Ever. Putting my hand across the top of the screen, roughly 4 inches width, made the world of difference, so I guess I need to go shopping again! What does it matter how they mount if they don't work worth a ****? Is the short Triumph screen the reason folks go to Clearview?
 
Yep, and for the option to have the Gold Wing vent installed as well if you wish.

Do you have the lowers installed? They will help with tubulence a lot and make the roadster screen much more tolerable. However, the tall Clearview screen, with lowers, is far superior. Without the lowers though, the Clearview is not much better than the Roadster with lowers. I was hoping I could get rid of the lowers when I got the clearview but there was still too much turbulence.

I have a set of lowers but haven't installed them. I think I'll wait till fall to put the screen back on, with lowers, and see how that helps extend the Maine riding season. I see the Triumph site recommends lowers for full benefit.
 
The lowers help with the standard screen and I'm about 6'2''. I leave the hardware on and just install the the screen when I travel any distance. My lazyness keeps the frustration to a minimum. Every time I say I don't wrench anymore sure as s*%t I end up with one in my hand. **** it all!!
