Windows 10 Installation issues with tuneecu

I solved this problem for the moment with a workaround by downloading Tune ecu on my desktop and also on my phone. I can download the maps onto the laptop, review them in detail (not possible on the phone), and then upload them onto the phone for installation onto the R3R. This worked successfully with a late model Roadster tune from Ulf Penner and I like the speed of the transfer from the phone onto the ecu- by all accounts the windows version is slower. I will definitely pick up an old notebook if I cannot get my work laptop to play nicely but my IT guy thinks he can solve this little problem.
