Who will service the R3 (other than Triumph dealer)?

Makes you realise how lucky we are in the UK (except for our high prices) - I have 2 Triumph dealers within a ten mile radius.

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN has two Triumph dealers though I'd only visit the one thats a full 30 more minutes away since the close one gave me crap service and won't see me again.

I can't imagine any dealers that are not Triumph certified will work on a Rocket. The workings of this machine are so different to other bikes it's like VOODO MAGIC to them. Same logic goes with servicing the beemers and ducks.

Thanks much, Owl! I take pride in my art. It's like building something from scratch. Seeing something materialize from nothing is the ultimate high for me... well, that and rocketing at 130 MPH.

Well maybe its too early in the bikes life to ask, but is a Tech manuel available yet? I have no problem with doing my own work. I can't imagine anything too difficult as long as you have the book telling you that you screwed UP!!

The service manual has been available since the bike came out.
Ask your dealer for the printed one, but there is a link around here for the online version.... you'll have to search around.

One thing of caution though. The service manual will tell you how to service it. That's all. You won't get good technical details on how stuff really works. Even so, you won't want to do all the service on your own. Some stuff, like checking and adjusting valve clearances, is near impossible to do alone and requires very specific knowledge and tools that are only available from Triumph.

Either way, I'd get the manual as it will let you appreciate more how complicated the Rocket is.

I appreciate that. And you could be very much right about that, but I won't know that till I can see what I'm dealing with. Now as far as a good technical manuel, it should have everything from tune ups to complete rebuilds, with the tools shown in their correct applications and all the dimensions and tolerances needed. I know a dealer's shop mechanic will have one, and I'm hoping for a price, I can get one too.
