What the F##K is it?

While adding some accessory lighting beneath the tank on the right side, my hand accidentally pressed too hard on a rod and I heard a 'pop'. When I looked up under the tank with a flashlight, I found a chrome rod with some sort of hook looking thing on the end of it that is held in place by two plastic clips. I looked for any other linkages and nothing was loose or out of place, so I am assuming that this rod must be a tool for some purpose that is beyond my recognition of what it could be for. I looked in the owners manual and found nothing about it.

Can anyone tell me what it's for? :?:

Thanks, that makes sense now. Never knew it came with it's own prop rod! Now I know where to find it too!

Yep. Its a tool to support the tank when it's raised.

Dang, a motorcycle gas tank with one of them "Ford" style rods used to keep the hood up. What will they think of next? :lol:
