What is this yellow?

Excellent bit of deduction and you are spot on with the year. Scorched yellow was on my short list but isn't it a metallic yellow?

I must say the yellow on your tank doesn’t look quite right. Scorched Yellow had more of a gold look, which is why I alluded to a respray. I think you’re right that it was metalic but can’t recall exactly. Same colour was used on early Daytona 675 and Speed Triple so logic suggests metallic. Maybe repair/custom paint shop could help you match it.

Yep, those pics confirm it and they are definitely a metallic finish and mine is 'flat' (base coat and lacquer) so it looks like I will have to get it matched as you suggest.

Actually that is a good thing, now you can't accuse people of painting their cars on the weekends at the GSE shack as easily!!!

There are a few Triumph Yellows, and I recently sold a NOS Scorched Yellow Rocket III flyscreen that was going to be Phantom Blacked. by new owner.

The 2006 Daytona 675 Scorched Yellow

I have an 08 classic in the Blood & Bone paint scheme. Does anyone know the paint codes so I can get some made up?

So @RazMan , what colour did you figure these would be, same as your tank or different?
The early Rocket III 2005/2006 factory Yellow was Racing Yellow with Gold Flames decals.
