What does the "12 minute tune" do?

I'm starting to think this crowd is starved for $EX? Is it because you ride Rockets (and your women don't)? Or, more simply stated, is it because you can't get anyone to ride your rocket?

Oh!! Yeah squish is awesome, but you gotta have the right amount. To tight and pop goes the weasel,to loose and the slug is like throwing hot dog down a hallway slappin all around in there.
 
Yes it works pretty good but it is not a cure-all, you probably will need a tuner of some sort if you do intake and exhaust both.
 
Right, and when you put an updated map in, you reset previous adaptations and run the 12 minute tune. Overall it gives a smoother transition to your new map, especially if it is radically different from the one your were using.
