What do you do when you can't ride

Here in Alaska, its a lot of cross-country skiing for me. Anchorage has a great network of lighted and groomed ski trails and it can be a bit of fun. Gotta do something to keep "Beer Mountain" from growing in elevation. Before I bought the Beast I used to ride bycyles all summer...told myself that if I bought myself this "New Toy" I would still ride the peddle bike too, at least to work (3 mile commute). Well, that didnt happen! Every spare minute I had last summer I was on that **** Rocket!! I didnt realize how painful winter was going to be-cant wait to ride again. Weekend nights I crank up the rock n roll in the garage, get lit, and sit on the beast making "Vroom Vroom" noises. -Doug

When we cant ride the 2 wheeled motorcycles we drive the 4 wheeled motorcycle. It has a convertible top and a removable hard top.

I love your car - I had an 03 Boxster S, then sold it with nearly 80K on the ODO and bought an 07 BMW Z4 3.0si, which I still drive from time to time.

I ride mostly year round here but if its nasty outside I go into the garage and do redneck stuff like this....

That's some cool handiwork, Doc, but I have to admit to ya' - I didn't think that motor could push a turd across a toilet bowl, let alone a boat across a lake. And man, oh man did that "Ted Williams" model motor ever match your boat to a tee... i.e., ratty! Nearly 200K YouTube hits, now that's impressive.

Just what sort o' MD are you, anyway???

What do you know, Phil? I got like 2 1/2 mph out of that little junk pile! I've also had not one person attempt to steal my boat. Next year I'm gonna upgrade her to an inboard 20 hp electric start Briggs and Stratton!

...and the DRMD came from the wife's and my initials.

Those Intek V-twins are decent powerplants, Doc.

Really, if you are an MD, I'm curious to know your chosen specialty? If you aren't a sawbones, what do you do for pecuniary gain?
