What did you do to your Rocket today?

This will be interesting with the CT.
I bet the wider profile, smaller radius and ZR rating of the Road 5 will work pretty well with the fat square CT.
Likely better than other MC front tires for the Rocket???
Keep us posted, please?

Yes, the Road 5 is the best front tire I've had on this bike.

I achieved Nirvana yesterday and got the tire pressures and shock settings near perfect.

The Hagon Nitros @ 11.5" with HD springs are independently adjustable but its very difficult to dial them in. With the 245/50ZR16 CT they are usually either too stiff or too loose or not quite balanced impacting tight cornering and/or comfort on our crappy roads. Just a minute 5 degree turn makes a major difference.

The narrower 140/80 Avon on the Roadster was nice too.

I wonder if the Road 5 in 140/70ZR17 would be the best of both worlds?

I'm being picky but it seemed like the Road 5 dislikes the road snakes a little more than the Avons?? Maybe it was my imagination but they seemed to slip on the tar like Metzlers did.

I now have 25,000 miles of smiles on the Riken Raptor CT and I swear the last 5,000 miles were better than the first 5,000 as it seems to have aged like fine wine.

I really don't want to let it go but alas it has a screw stuck in it and its replacement is ready to go for the upcoming RAA West/Daytona Biketoberfest southern US tour.

Maybe just one more day!

Looking forward to your Pilot 5 review. When you install you new CT, use a level to check and see how parallel to the road the engine is? Flat is stock, Ok. Leaning back is "malo" Leaning forward is Bueno.

Been riding narrower high profile 215/60/16.

Look closely and you will see a mud guard knot rubbing om the new tyre @ 35 psi.
Still breaking in and figuring out a good tyre pressure for this one.

Added brand new oil tank emblem.

And still have to add these this afternoon once back from the pool with my girls.

Front brake calipers covers.

Also cleaning and polishing ready for the distinguish gentlemans ride next week.

Almost put a set of crome side covers on last year but as was just far to much crome.

Got them cheap on Friday $80 for both items
Justifed it by selling old set of screen clamps for a Hundie .

I hope you smoke some of the rubber before changing and post a video of it!!

Glad to know you made the crash with little injury. We learn from the mis-haps of others. How did you crash?
Hit the brakes too hard on the wet road, they locked up on me and the back tire slid out from under me. Too much speed and not enough experience while trying to get off the highway.

I have locked the back of the roadster on wet pavement. Have been lucky enough to save it. You avoided rear ending someone and did not get hurt. Thank your lucky stars brother.
