Skillet you are right on about the carbs. :!: :!: Vintage Bonnies really suffer from that and the TR6 (single carb 650cc twin) is a favorite among those that really ride the Triumph twins cause it is so much easier to start, (higher intake velocity when kicking it over) and soooo much easier to tune. My '70 has frequently suffered my inept adjustments. I have pulled into Moores Cycle Center (vintage Brit place) and Keith Moore comes walking out of the office with the telephone cradled on his shoulder and a small screwdriver in his hand and says, "Keep it idling", and then he feels the exhaust pulse to identify the offending side, reaches over and tweeks the carb, and returns to the office without stopping his phone conversation with a customer. :lol: :lol: Apparently I have not mastered all of the subtleties of adjusting the Amal carbs.
