I know nothing about the new Rockets.
I note that when the Rocket III engine was new, Triumph development was "just enough" - so some of their development was on the backs of early adopters - a kind of beta testing if you will, and we saw them bear the costs with nominal cost update kit and contributed labor to install it.
Another artifact of that process was the early manual calling for valve clearance check at 10,000 miles, because basically they (Triumph) didn't know.
After accumulating sufficient real world data, the manual was quietly revised to make the inspection interval 20,000 miles.
Will be interesting to see if the development process available to Triumph 15 years later yields a more mature product at launch.
