Here's what it looked like, I didn't experiment, worked right off the bat. Might have wrong ends and no fuse protection at all for all I know, but it worked. I made it to a buddys house and will rig up something more stable. Hopefully some dealer along the way will have a switch in stock.
A big thank you to everyone here, really helped me out in a tight jam. Someone should file this for safe keeping.
Everytime i checked for my sons 05 the ignition switch was on back order you might consider both (one for seat unlock and ignition or you gonna have to carry 2 keys no big deal for him )once again the captains from afar come through !
I just printed out Speedy's posting and BuffaloR3's picture to put in my tool kit. Looks much easier than jumping at the ignition switch plug. Thanks Speedy !

If you can't find a new switch en route, get a simple toggle switch and wire it into the jumpers and tie wrap it where it is accessible. That way you can stop without taking off the seat and pulling the jumpers.
I am going to make a little harness for my bike to do just this to throw in my tool kit.

I was already carrying a pre-wired toggle switch. With your "easy hotwire" system I'll be back on the road in no time. I installed the eastern beaver kit several years ago but the bike did about 16,000 miles in Arizona before I got it, so the ignition switch may be a bit fragile. I don't have to worry about it now. Thanks again !
same thing mine did, I cut the thing out and went keyless. you can fix it yoursef remote I think was around $25 3 relays at for around $15 a piece and an afternoon. wiring diagrams and pictures provided by the awesome folks on this site.
