Hi has anyone tried a 140 profile on the front of their Rocket instead of the standard 150 profile?

Just wondering if there is any improvement in the steering without affecting high speed stability.

Cheers
Marco

Huge numbers of R3 pilots have switched from 150/80 to 140/75 with nothing but favorable experiences. Stability isn't an issue because of the big trail number the geometry has from the factory, tip in effort is drastically reduced, mid corner adjustment is vastly improved.

If literally feels like you're taking 100-200lbs off the bike going to a 140/75.

Claviger summed it up well. It takes a good ride to get used to it, but the bike is definitely better to ride. I won't go back.

Boony, did you fit the front wheel back on your bike after getting someone to fit the 140? GC is telling me that the 140/75 is for the Fatboy and it's illegal to fit a smaller tyre than standard. They can put the tyre on the wheel but not put the wheel onto the bike.

That’s a fluff of crap, sadly there are locations that have laws like that.

There are zero safety concerns with the 140/75 ride on it will not fail you.

That is crap. See Don at DC. He will be back next week. He is in Bali this week.
