Twist Clutch

What about a step thru' gearbox (like the old Dafs used to have) runs on a series if pulleys and wheels.

Then you can do away with the clutch altogether. Means you can use your mobile, or eat your breakfast without the hassle of changing gear :lol:

You might have guessed I prefer the traditional way meself
 
When Biker Build Off was on Russ Mitchell was using those on some of his entries. Never seen one in the real world tho.
 
Righton/leftoff/rightoff/lefton/righton/leftoff/rightoff/lefton/righton would be the gear change sequence (if I surmise the concept as written). Um, might be just me but muck that up one time during a spirited romp through the twisties and you may have to explain bike damage as the tree jumping out to block your path before it ate the engine.

Only on a downshift. Who uses the clutch upshifting?

Maybe I'll just get some shorty levers instead...
